WJCNY Co-Sponsors First Ulster County Latino Resource Fair
On Saturday, September 21, from 11 am to 3pm Mano-a-Mano coalition will be presenting its first annual Ulster County Latino Resource Fair at the Everette Hodge Community Center on Franklin Street in Kingston. Free and open to the public, this event will be a celebration of diversity and an opportunity to bring valuable information and services to our Spanish speaking community with over 30 local agencies present. Rain date will be September 28.
We will be also offering a presentation on immigration law by Kerry Conboy, Migration Counselor with Catholic Charities Community Services and the Office of New Americans Opportunity Center; a workshop on how to fill taxes by Richard Torres, IRS Enrolled Agent and President of TNT Business Tax Consultant; a nutrition workshop by Sarah Daubman, registered dietician at Shoprite; a presentation on breast cancer awareness by Myrna Capaldi; and more.
Ulster County Latino Resource Fair will provide a forum where people can meet and enjoy a day of community building, fun, and learning for the entire family. All events and speakers will be accessible for Spanish speakers. Light refreshments, children’s activities and raffle prizes will also be offered.

Mano-a-Mano is a coalition with a mission to serve the Spanish speaking community of Ulster County by providing a structure where agencies, individuals, businesses, and organizations work collaboratively to network, support, and foster a diverse community by promoting each member’s linguistically appropriate and culturally competent services.
